GlobalWarming is possibly the most serious challenge we face today. We need to protect the health and economic well-being of current as well as future generations.
We must reduce emission of heat-trapping gases by using the technology, know-how, and practical solutions that are already at our disposal.
Some early warning signs of globalwarming
- Heat waves and periods of unusually warm weather
- Ocean warming, sea-level rise and coastal flooding
- Glaciers melting
- Arctic and Antarctic warming
The effects of all these warning signs could cause such things as disease, earlier springs, coral reef bleaching, downpours, heavy downfalls and flooding, droughts and fires!
Solutions
Using energy more efficiently and moving to renewable energy (wind, solar, geothermal, and bioenergy) would significantly reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases.
